1. No more Concessional Posting for NYSC
Some days ago, the Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig-Gen. Johnson Olawumi, disclosed:

If Flavour asks me out, my answer will be… – Chidimma

No doubt, singer, Chidimma Ekile, is the crush of many male artistes in Nigeria. But the irony is despite all the admirers, she seems not to have found the right person.
In aCHAT recently,  the singer when asked about her relationship status answered,“ Why I am still single? Maybe, because I’m yet to see the man who is made for me or the person is yet to find me. So I am single and happy. The fact is I had few friends and some wanted to take the relationship seriously, but it never worked out. Though, I have a lot of male friends around me, but there has never been anything serious. Several stars have been crushing on me, in fact, I thought I would have been crushed by now. But to be honest, am dating none of them.

For Adams, if I start telling you about him, we won’t leave here. He’s my good friend. We both insult each other every time. When the story came out, I was not surprised because we both are very close.
For Flavour, music brought us together and nothing more and if he had asked me out the answer would have been a capital ‘NO’.

Don Jazzy ignores D’Banj on stage

D’banj as a singer and Don Jazzy the producer used to be the perfect team as the honchos of Mo’hits Records. But like a bolt from the blue, their hitherto smooth relationship collapsed in 2012 like a pack of badly arranged cards.

Ever since, fans and colleagues in the music industry have been begging the duo to come back together and rework their magic.
However, what could have been the perfect opportunity for the two heavyweights to address the issue came to pass on Sunday, September 20,at the Eko Hotel-venue of 2face Idibia’s Fortyfied Concert.
D’banj mounted the stage to perform some of his hit songs to the delight of the audience, and halfway through, he said he was going to perform a song, ‘Feeling Good’ produced by Don Jazzy and featuring 2face that was leaked online before it could be properly released.
He beckoned on Don Jazzy to join him on stage to perform the song, but Jazzy remained glued to his seat with new Mavin signees, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, and Dija.
Even when 2face begged the duo to produce one more hit together, Don Jazzy remained resolute. In 2face’s words, ‘Don Jazzy and D’banj, abeg make una do one more song, just one…. I take God beg una.’
D’banj instantly responded with the words, “Sure! It’s going to happen,” while Don Jazzy still remained on his seat without even a smile.
This led many of the guests in attendance to insinuate that D’banj was more eager for a come-back than Don Jazzy is.

More facts have started gathering momentum to the possible resignation of the Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, as he was reported already getting tired of the approach of President Muhammadu Buhari to fiscal and monetary issues.
A source divulged to Daily Post on Wednesday that: “There are possibilities of Emefiele leaving the post because of the state of the economy. But the one that unsettles him the most is an order by the president to change the colour of Naira notes.”
Buhari’s directive is a reminder of his anti-corruption measures as military Head of State between 1884 and 1985.
‘Buharinomics’, as called, was stringently implemented to revive the slumbering banking industry and curb local currency hoarding.

Buhari ordered that the colour of the Naira notes be changed, forcing all holders of old notes to exchange them at banks within a limited period.
It was learnt that Emefiele, reluctant to implement Buhari’s instruction, almost tendered his resignation in the past few days but for the persuasion of some prominent Nigerians, including two Bank Chairmen.
Information gathered further shows that part of Emefiele’s fears was his disclosure at the CBN Monetary Policy Committee meeting that Nigeria’s economy could slip into recession within months.
But if it so happens that Emefiele quits the CBN, his replacement may be picked from one of the few names being touted as likely successor. He is Fola Adeola, pioneer Managing Director and current Chairman of Guaranty Trust Bank.

Saraki Agrees To Appear At The Code Of Conduct Tribunal On Tuesday SHARE ON:FacebookTwitter Google +PinterestEmail

Court-throws-out-Appeal-against-Kwara-governor.jpg1
The unsettled Senate President of Nigeria, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has finally agreed to appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal on Tuesday, following the continuous request that he be made to appear to clear himself of the standing allegation of false declaration of asset.saraki-sad
A statement from the media office of the Senate President said, ”while the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, had stated and maintained that he is ready to submit himself to due process of the law on any issue concerning him, he also believes that he has an inalienable right to resort to the same judiciary for protection when he feels his fundamental rights are about to be infringed upon.”
” following the adjournment for the determination of the motion on notice and the substantive suit before the Federal High Court to 30th of September and the appeal pending before the Court of Appeal adjourned to the 29th of September 2015, the Senate President has decided, as a law abiding citizen, to appear before the Tribunal in the interim.’
”Dr. Saraki has taken the decision to attend the Tribunal sitting to demonstrate his respect for the rule of law in spite of his personal reservation on the process of his trial and the purpose it may be intended to serve.”
Nigerians were urged to know that Saraki is an absolute believer in the judicial process and ”is therefore confident that the course of justice would be served at the end of this matter.”

It would be recalled, during the proceedings, last week, Justice Danladi immediately asked that Saraki be put in the dock, but his defense counsel Joseph Daodu rose to announce that he was absent.
According to him: “There is an interlocutory injunction by the Federal High Court in Abuja restraining further hearing by the Tribunal.”
